David Iron, trustee and founder of the Lunar Mission One project, will be in Rome next Friday the 13th to talk with students, academicians and schools representatives about the project, its technical challenges, its outreach potential and its future applications to other space programmes.

BIS-Italia, the Italian branch of the BIS, has organized the conference in cooperation with Prof. Marcello Onofri of DIMA, the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department of Sapienza University of Rome.

BIS members are welcome to join the free conference and meet David Iron privately after the talk.

The conference will be presented by Paolo D’Angelo, FBIS, journalist and space historian, and preceded by an overview by Alessandro Menchinelli, MBIS.

BIS-Italia thanks David Iron for his kind offer to share details about the complex project opening also new possible avenues of cooperations in Italy, both in the education sector and also in the industrial sector, in particular the “planetary drill” technologies, that are well-established in the Country.
