Rex Hall MBE

Rex Hall MBE FBIS(1946 – 2010)

Rex Hall joined the British Interplanetary Society in 1974, was elected to Fellow in 1986 and joined the Council in 1995. He served as President between 2003 and 2006.

Rex worked in education for more than 30 years, had his own educational consultancy and was awarded an MBE in 2003 for his inspirational efforts in the field of education. In his spare time he became an expert on the history of the Soviet/Russian space programme with a special expertise on the cosmonaut team with whose members he was often on first name terms. He edited the Society’s ISS Vol 1 & 2 and History of Mir books and for 30 years ran the annual Soviet/Chinese Symposium for the Society.
