Since its introduction in 1973 , the Energia  Sokol spacesuit has emerged as the world’s most used Launch and Entry spacesuit, rivalling NASA’s ACES version as was used on the Space Shuttle.  UK/ESA Astronaut Tim Peake wore this kind of spacesuit when launched by Soyuz TMA-19M on 15 December 2015 for his 6 month Principia mission on the International Space Station.  !t is commonly used by all Soyuz crew.  Specialist Russian space expert, Olesya Myakonkaya, will present the story of the Sokol spacesuit and, using a real suit, explain  how to put on, wear and survive in this venerable example of Russian space equipment.
