The Sprites have now been deployed from Kicksat-2, so the BIS is now in orbit! See https://twitter.com/hashtag/KickSat2?src=hash for updates.

BIS in orbit - radio signals received from ‘Sprites’
The Sprites were deployed from the KickSat-2 craft on Wednesday 20th March, and yesterday Friday 22nd radio signals were received as the image below from the Dwingeloo Radio Astronomy Observatory in the Netherlands. The Sprites are 5 minutes ahead of KickSat-2 and are likely to re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere today. Well done to all involved!

As of today (2nd. April ) Kicksat 2 was due to have re-entered Earth's atmosphere, the sprites were presumed to have re-entered several days earlier, despite many attempts my brother ( a radio amateur ) was unable to receive any signals from satellite or sprites, it is hoped the signal packets received by the Dutch amateurs contain enough data for information to be de-coded and hopefully some of the B.I.S. sprites can be identified.
A valiant attempt just falling short, here's to the next time.
