The West Midlands Branch Presents: Nuclear Arrow By Mark Hempsell

Speaker: Mark Hempsell

Date: Saturday -16th November 2024

Start Time: 14:00

End Time: 15:15

Venue: Via Zoom

Was Black Arrow an unintended nuclear threat! The first two stages of Black Arrow were technically perfect to operate as a silo missile that can deliver the Polaris warhead to Moscow from UK soil. Given this would be the concluded role of any assessment by foreign intelligence services, it is interesting to speculate how this influenced 1960s cold war politics.
