Reinventing Space is a unique three-day conference, organised by the British Interplanetary Society. This year’s conference will convene, once again, at the Royal Aeronautical Society, London.
The theme of this year’s conference ‘The Rapidly Changing Context of Global Space’ focuses on the challenges and emerging issues presented by the increase in commercially funded activities, advances in technology and the recent rapid changes in international relationships:
“We are facing a number of significant and rapidly accelerating changes that point towards an unprecedented shift in how we operate and collaborate in the international space arena. In particular, the compounding of three influential factors will change the operating context for all of us; the near-exponential drop in the cost of access to space; the integration of AI and automation into our upstream and downstream activities; and the effect of the changing geopolitics of space”
Technological, geopolitical and economic forces are all in play and this is a chance to talk about them collectively; what capabilities we should be investing in and how to reframe our priorities to remain relevant in this new era.
