The Council of the British Interplanetary Society has recently been made aware of a claim on social media relating to our President, Professor Chris Welch. Following initial conversations, the President will be taking a step back whilst Council considers the situation. Our Vice Presidents will be coming forward to jointly cover his duties in the interim.
We will, of course, be ensuring that our Fellows, Members and supporters are updated on the outcome of this, when our Council – who form our board of trustees – have resolved a way forward in the best interests of the Society and those involved.
