The WSWUK Ambassador Programme is a new initiative to build a network of Space-lovers who promote World Space Week to local communities across the United Kingdom.
WSW Ambassadors are a nation-wide support network, which is part of the WSWUK National Coordination team at the British Interplanetary Society.
SPACE OUTREACH IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Ambassador aims during the annual World Space Week celebration, are to:
- Bring Space into the lives of the general public
- Help bridge the information-divide to ensure public support for the future of the Space Sector
- Inform a wider community about World Space Week
- Encourage more WSW UK events
- Inspire the next generation
- Engage more local schools to register WSW classroom events
Who can become a WSWUK Ambassador?
Ambassadors are ANYONE, in the UK, interested in the future of Space innovation and exploration.
As long as you are UK-based, WSWUK Ambassadors can be:
- Individuals
- Companies
- Societies
- Schools
- STEM Ambassadors
- STEM Clubs
What do WSWUK Ambassadors do?
- Spread the word about World Space Week
- Encourage WSW events in their local area (UK-wide area ambassadors required)
- Promote WSW in their local press
- Support local WSW event organisers
- Assist the WSWUK National Coordinators (BIS) to increase engagement
- Help maintain WSWUK as a Global leader for WSW coordination
