Chief Executive Officer
With a career spanning 40 years in commercial and investment banking, John Lewin is the BIS Chief Executive Officer.
With his wealth of experience as the BIS Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all finance, HR, legal and administrative matters of the Society. He is a part-time employee and is also currently the Chairman of Renaissance Capital and CFO of Macro-Advisory Ltd.
John brings considerable experience in the charity sector as CEO, Chair and Trustee of various charities and School Governor; he is also a qualified accountant. With a lifelong interest in all things space-related, John has been a BIS member since 2012 and is currently studying for a degree in Astronomy and Planetary Science from the Open University.
